I think the answer to this whole niche of "Mods that attempt at being old TF2" would be to have a Customizable/DIY TF2.Yes you can customize a lot with server plugins in regular TF2 but not everyone can code, and there's smaller stuff plugins can't do.It'd have an easily customizable list of weapon reversions, bans, miscellaneous cosmetic changes (Like old player/weapons models) along with presets of different TF2 Eras/Updates and some community formats. So server hosters can have any list of changes they want, the server browser and info window before joining a game would be updated to show these changes, and players can look at it and see if they like that flavor of TF2 before joining.This concept would certainly be a better attempt at "Preserving TF2" than the half-assed attempt that TF2:GR is.
