I run my PC off Wifi (the Metric 35 connection aka the X.X.69.X network), and use Windows ISC to connect my 2.5Gb ethernet port on my PC to my dedicated QuestPro 6e router (metric 25, the X.X.0.X network), running it in AP modeI keep getting weird disconnection errors and troubleshooting all levels of DNS have resulted in no changeI suspect this now to be the culprit, that i have 2 last resorts out, one of them pointing to my quest wifi router since its a hardline connectionI tried making a persistent route with a lower metric pointing to my actual gateway out on the 69.1 address, but i dont think it actually worked so i removed itis there something im missing here in terms of syntax to tell it to stop prioritizing traffic to my Quest AP router?

But most people use index style tracking and it gets most signs across just fine. People with general vr hand tracking, just the 8 handshapes have a few more limitations, but it's such a long history of sign language in vrchat that the adaptations are highly regularized and recognizable and easy to do, so people still have full conversations regardless.

here's my dogshit take:i have a q3. its a huge upgrade from the index on almost every level. the only case in which i would want a frame is if i wanted to have what i have now but wireless (i play wired, for no perceivable latency and almost no compression). the standalone performance of the frame is gonna be like 25% better than q3 (not enough to run stuff like alyx) so really, why would i spend probably around 700/800 bucks on this device when i already have 90% of the experience.also helps that i am the kind of person that is happy with the "good enough" and dont need "the best". i think this headset is going to be great for those still stuck on vives and indexes. but for me? nah.

Screen door is a bit shit, half hand tracking is not as nice as full hand tracking, monochromatic pass-through sucks, but almost everything else about the frame sounds like a definite upgrade, and SteamOS is bound to be much better than facebook's dogshit android fork that doesn't even have a proper file manager.At the same time, it'd be less insane to upgrade my horrible laptop instead to something with a functioning battery and more than 128 GB of storage, and continue using my quest until either a slightly better headset comes along than the frame, or there are enough 3rd party upgrades for the frame to add most of the things that are missing, than to try to use a VR headset as both a laptop and a VRC device. I think it comes down to price. For ~600 maybe I can justify it to myself, but 1000+ it's not enough of an upgrade. I use my quest ONLY for VR, but if the flat gaming experience and linux laptop experience on the frame is good enough, then that's a value add to the system that the quest has no answer for.

Drinking groups too if you are an alcoholic. EU plays games on the weekends but NA doesn't believe in gaming. Alright, so here's my experience after a weekend wearing the Galaxy XR.It's an uncomfortable piece of shit that I have no idea how escaped the design labs of Samsung, but that's not news and by the end of the weekend, I was either growing used to the pain and not noticing or subconsciously finding a way to wear it that was only mildly annoying instead of blinding pain distraction like it was at the start of the weekend after more then 30 minutes. I have no idea why the fuck they didn't even pad the backstrap better, the "padding" is like an eight of an inch think or some shit so it's barely a step above strapping bare plastic to yourself. The panels are really fucking nice, 4k OLED is really pretty if you can drive it at an acceptable resolution even if it's sub-native. Knowing the blacks were deeper, I was able to see it, but I've grown up staring at screens enough that my brain translates LCD black to be black so I will say that if you're a long time gamer, it's probably not as important. FOV was about the same as a Q3, roughly 105 horizontal and 85ish vertical when I was wearing it, probably a little higher if you really shove your face into the lenses. The lenses on the one I was using were markedly inferior to the Quest 3's. The sweetspot is not tiny but not nearly as generous as the Q3's, there was significant darkening if I looked into the upper 1/4 of my FOV, and most annoyingly, there was a slight fisheye effect or something that was causing things to distort ever so slightly when I tilted my head up and down. I wouldn't say any of these are deal breakers, but Samsung getting their premium headset mogged by a 500 dollar Q3 is pretty embarrassing. The mic is also appreciably worse than the Q3's, but not unusable like some of the early HMDs which is also insane to me that they cheaped out on it at this price point. The speakers are Q3 tier in quality, imo, but with better spacilization that does remind me of the Index but I’m not an audiophile.cont'd

The biggest problem is that right now it’s throttling itself even just streaming PCVR, especially if you try to push the framerate above 72, but the VD devs claim Samsung is aware and we’re just waiting for them to push a fix, but I personally was having issues and framerate drops even trying to just maintain 72 with the same encoding settings I was able to use without issues on the Q3, despite the Q3’s cooling fan being much quieter then the XR’s.cont'd again

I'm hoping that I just got a lemon since the distortion artifacts I noticed should have been readily apparent to anyone who looked through the lenses for more then 30 seconds and no one talked about it in any of the reviews or consumer comments I read prior to purchasing. I also realize I failed to mention that there is also a very strong glare when you're in a dark scene with a bright source of light, for example when loading into the VRC Pool Parlor how you're in the black void with the bright logo for a second upon entering.
I'd get iron rebellion if it went on more of a sale and had a singleplayer mode. I dont want lobbies with 3 players, 2 of which are 1000h experts.

Finally finished it. The final sword is also a staff and seems to hold its magic for infinite uses. Pretty over powered but I guess that's better than being under powered for the final reward of the game. That said the best dungeon run I had was using only an oar I found when I entered and no magic. Basically zero damage or stagger per swing so I had to keep up with parries and take whatever opportunities I had to get leg sweeps and bonks on downed enemies in. Little bit longer until I've maxed out every skill as well.

I also recommend using 3M electrical tape and wrapping it once or twice on the top and bottom of the controller lightly so the panel doesn't shift.

I recently bought rx 9070 and now every time I start steamVR WITHOUT freshly restarting my PC whole VR is capped to exactly 10 fps and my gpu utilization is at around 10%. Everything else works fine, if I play any other game it's normal. It fixes itself if I simply restart PC, but I don't want to keep restarting my PC every time I want to launch steamVR. Has anyone ever had the same problem? Is this just AMD drivers and I refund the card? I tried 2 earlier driver versions (25.5, 25.6) and it's still the same.
