I get camping big arc and high loot areas and even extract camping but I still don't understand why people just blast others in the back 2 minutes into the match. You're not getting any loot and you're not getting a fun fight because they're dead before they can fight back. It felt pretty lame shooting guys in the face with sniper rifles and nothing happening. This game has the opposite problem. The gear progression is so non-existent that the best play you can make is modding out common gear. Anything above rare level loot is a meme and only used for the cool factor of using le epic gun. What I would like to see is just some weapon specialization. I wouldn't mind starter gear being great (I actually kind of love it. Like I said, Division was gay) if rarer gear was legitimately better in a specialized manner, or generally better overall, but they are instead just empirically worse choices. This game just needs a weapon balance patch to be GOTY.

Had some great games today. Raiders were nice, ARC was nice too. Had to kill a cheeky rocketeer who terrorized half the spaceport during a matriarch lobby and wouldn't let met go out of a trench tower. Got 3 bps, a hullcracker from a guy who died in front of an extract to rocket-chan, plenty of loot, discovered a few places I had never been to. No pressure, no rats, no tense extractions, just signaling myself when I enter a building and greeting everyone I come across, every man-made noise in my vicinity, every flock of birds soaring through the sky.

You know the way you could make free kits fun is by removing them but expanding the range of things you can craft in match. I've been doing solo/naked runs and while you can craft some useful stuff it isn't nearly enough to actually do anything of note. If you could craft ammo, hairpins, ferros and light shields it would really change up the game. You'll be surprised how much basic junk (metal/rubber/plastic) you can find while chemicals stays a bit of a gate keeper which makes finding it fun.

I don't understand the concern around nerfing free kits pvp capability. Arc is already chock full of opportunities for taking advantageous fights. Obviously you can shoot somebody in the back, hit more headshots, third partying, ganking objectives, using your free utility, etc. Even if you halved freekit hp and damage I would STILL just rush for pvp on spawn since it's so easy to out raider-iq your opponent

I find ARC and HUNT Showdown (not the same thing but similar) to be really fun. But I just can't get into Tarkov. Tarkov has so much bullshit in the way of letting you play the game. It's why I find ARC much more interesting and fun. When I want to leave in ARC, you just go to the place and leave. In Tarkov you need to have a map open in the background telling you exactly what to do because the game says nothing to you about where or how to get out. Try to do it yourself? Lmfao good luck trying to find the weird spot to leave or needing the exact key/item/money to leave. Shot an enemy? The suppressor helps with keeping aggro down, and it's very ammo efficient for a light ammo weapon. It one taps ticks/pops/fireballs. It can down a wasp with 6 center of mass shots or 4 thruster shots. Hornets can be a pain but again its 4 to the rear thrusters (2 each). It's really bad at sentries, but one impact grenade solves that problem. It's really snappy with aiming it too. The youtube algorithm sent me a clip of some ultra-sweat using it in PvP and apparently there's some hitbox shenanigans where you can peek milimeters around corners by hipshotting.But reddit thinks that the gun is completely useless

Most had less than 100 points. They all ended up getting pretty crazy scores probably trying to game the system like I was. Maybe the trick is to get like two thousand points on your first try mid week to get paired with people that aren't gunning for it but have already put in some work and won't ever really get better or know any exploits.

Sometimes geared players will just quietly watch and sometimes they may even collaborate. Geared players won't start a fight unless they're 100% sure that they can end it quick before things get drawn out and messy in a way that can draw third parties. Freeniggers are just running around shooting at everything that moves and it is exhausting. Especially since their equipment isn't even trash. A ferro can chunk half your HP, and a stitcher I with no upgrades is still high A+ tier on the weapon tier lists.

For example the security admin office in stella montis has the same exact containers as the breach room in blue gate tunnels.
