Scott still has full creative control over what gets approve, so I can only assume he's greenlighting all the expressive animatronics we see in the first movie and the trailers. Not that I don't agree that the glowing eyes negate the creepy factor of the animatronics. I get wanting to portray that these are the trapped souls of innocent children, but the lifelessness, and yet still alive, of these animatronics are the main appeal. I think it says something that with each adaptation we get more and more intentionally scarier animatronics. Not a bad thing imo, but with the first two games getting movie adaptations I wish we would see more of that uncanny "dead but alive" portrayed

I feel like she should be the opposite of Circus Baby, whereas Baby used her abilities and intelligence to do more damage and serve her father in vain, the Puppet should be trying to free everybody and use Mike as a way to further that goal. To me, that would be a much more compelling story, because then it dispels the idea that the souls trapped just become evil, and it makes Baby so much more evil in comparison, but it also makes Henry look better and William look worse. Having sympathetic anti-victims makes everything else in the story better.

Just got back from the theather.In terms of Marionette content, which was my main reason for watching the movie, I was very satisfied. She worked well as a villain and all her scenes were entertaining.Toy Chica was also surprisingly cool. Her interactions with Abby were nice. What exactly was Charlie's goal in this film? Her rage seemed unaimed and her motivations aren't very clear. She says she hates the parents but it's clear that Michael is the one controlling the toys. So is she controlled by Michael? And if she hates the parents, why does she possess Abby? But she clearly doesn't hate all the adults because "I don't hate you". But then she possesses Vanessa. Like what the actual flying fuck is this character?
Just watched the movie and it was mid. The animatronics got less screen time than the first movieI was concerned about how they'd tackle the mangle and they took the worst possible the worst angle for it. They gave it the transformers/godzilla treatment with absolutely no camera focus and no screen time. I think the car scene had some CGI but I was disappointed by the lack of screen time for the animatronics. Toy Chica was the most prevelant animatronic which is something I am not excited about I guess I am just not into fnaf anymore because the people next to me in the theatre enjoyed the movie well except one older gentlemen who felt as mundane as I did.

It's not a grand reopening. Toy Freddy as the mascot is barely present. Toy Bonnie got all this hype for his voice and he speaks for three minutes. Mangle got all this hype to just sit on a car then became another random enemy to be killed like a goomba (Toy Bonnie is quite literally stomped like a goomba). The Withereds are there for one scene towards the end that's five minutes. Shadow Bonnie is there for a second. Shadow Freddy is there for zero seconds despite being teased in the first movie. The Puppet itself is barely there ironically. Withered Golden Freddy is also there for zero minutes despite being a boss appearance. Even the FNAF 1 characters just appear for three minutes then fucking die...twice. The movie treated all these characters and ideas like they were disposable. I wish I wasn't a fan so I could just laugh it off and move on but I can't. FNAF has fallen.

The dialogue between Vanessa and Charlie could have been so sentimental but they went for this really Batman-Joker conversation style where Charlie has to exposit her intentions (however poorly) while Vanessa has to exposit how sorry she is for her (also however poorly) and to me I can't really tell if I would have preferred more sentimental or if this works better

My out of the theater thoughts on the movie are probably the most complicated i've had with something ever, it played out more or less exactly how I thought it would (trailers and such spoiled it a shocking amount) but the way it was all put together is a different matter. I appreciate the increased quantity of spooks but they could've gone further and im not sure i'd say it was actually that much scarier than the first, it's definitely campier than the first which is what I think surprised me most. I don't hate that on paper, however to make the most of it they really should've done more with the animatronics and the animatronics not getting enough spotlight has been a consistent issue with these movies. Though this is obviously to do with the fact the suits are a massive hindrance to work with, I think the main reason they don't feel nearly as threatening is to do with how their movements are so clunky and slow more than even the eyes or expressions. They tried to incorporate actual jumpscares this time around except I don't recall a single one featuring an animatronic, so wha's the point really. My rating would probably go up a number if there was real tension in the scenes of the toys causing havoc across town, and there were more of them (at least Freddy and Bonnie got their own dedicated kills in the first one)It was very enjoyable on the whole and I even dug many of the story developments, I don't think it was as EGREGIOUSLY bad as some are making it out to be but the first movie has the edge over it for me and that's a problem (that said, my non fan friend thought it was good and there was a big applause at the end. though im not sure if the former was just people taking the piss). Hopefully Scott is seeing some of the blowback from the fandom and thinking about it

God I hate that theater etiquette doesn't exist any more. From what I was able to hear and see between the clapping and screaming, it was a goofy mindless fun romp. Not as brave as the first, but a lot more cohesive. A great popcorn movie but not remotely as memorable as the first. I think of the first and I think of the fort scene, the SAW-torture chair, Mike's dreams, Spring Bonnie emerging, Mike beating the dad in the fountain, there were a lot of 'iconic' scenes to give the film a definitive identity. Despite FNAF2 being a step up in stakes I don't think many scenes will stick with me aside from the Puppet possession/talking scenes. Everything moved so fast despite it being a lengthy movie to the point not much really stuck. It was fun, but I'm hoping the third goes a bit more strange with its narrative again.
At this point I wonder if the original trilogy being as stylish and atmospheric as it was was one big fluke and scott couldn't make anything that lands like that if he tried

**Ok, I lied earlier. Heres where the actual changes start.- Normally at this point, Mike enters the new Pizzeria and meets the withereds. Instead, I'm going to put the school principal death scene here. That Mike Fnaf2 section kept getting interrupted and it pissed me the fuck off, so I'm going to shuffle the scenes around to make it flow a bit better. The principal death scene plays out exactly the same though.- NOW Mike enters the fnaf 2 pizzeria, unties Vanessa, they go to the office. We're going to completely cut the Balloon boy chase scene. It added nothing. Going to use that time cut for something else.- Vanessa still explains that Charlie is vengeful against parents. I'm going to really lean into Mikes "There are 4 animatronics, we don't know which one has Abby" line. We're going to cut the whole "Cutting the signal" thing because it literally starts right the fuck back up immediately after anyway. We're also going to completely cut the Mangle car stuff. It was cool, but Mangle could be utilized so much better in the office anyway. Anyway, this scene is normally interrupted with ToyFreddy at fazfest. Instead, we're going to have Mike click a "Start trackers" button which immediately activates the "security breach" and turns on the Withereds. He's going to use the radio and ask Vanessa what the plan is. Basically, instead of working through the cameras of the location, he's going to have Vanessa drive to each location to check on each Toy while Mike has to survive the withereds. All the while, the toys wreak the save havoc. I imagine it would play out like this:|Cont.**
**- Think of this scene like a montage, where Mike is fending off animatronics while telling Vanessa where to go next. Its like watching a FNaF game from the sidelines, learning the new "mechanics" along with Mike.- Mike selects the first tracker, TF. Mike tells Vanessa to head to XYZ Blvd first, Vanessa is otw. Mike has his first encounter with WF. Mike survives, asks Vanessa for an update, she's nearly at the house. She enters, "deals" with TF (idfk rams her car again?), looks for Abby. "She's not here mike, next one". - Mike Goes back to the computer, selects TB. Cuts to TB at the house, same TB kill scene, Vanessa is now otw there. Balloon Boy appears. Same thing, Mike rips his head off, throws the head, and the eyes start to flash. This time though, the eyes flash onto the withereds, causing them to visibly be stunned in place. Mike notices this, pulls out his flashlight, and begins to force WF and WC away from the hallway with the flashlight. As this is happening, WB is sneaking up from the vents behind him. He pops out of the vent and Mike puts the mask on, survives, woohoo. I'd have to give more thought for how TB is defeated, but roll with the fact that he does. Phuck it.- Mike runs back to the computer again. Now there's a lot going on and it's quite stressful. Banging from the vents, animatronics from the hallway (WC and Mangle specifically), a warning blaring from the computer (Fnaf 2 danger sound) he's struggling to survive while he pulls up TC's tracker. Eventually he gets it, radios Vanessa and is once more otw. Here, we get the WF scene. Mask doesn't work, but this time Mike remembers the flashlight trick and gets him to fuck off instead of him standing there awkwardly. Vanessa is still en route to Mikes house, and Mike is having his last stand with the animatronics. As things are climaxing (heh) we're cutting back and forth to TC putting Abby away. Eventually, Mike notices the Withereds starting to power down. Cont..**
**- The shot of the Withereds powering down is contrasted with a shot of the puppet slowly leaving TC's chest cavity, as the marionette loses control over the other Animatronics as it begins to poses Abby.- Vanessa enters the house, same scene plays (Excellent fucking scene btw). - Mike does *NOT* go back to Fnaf1 to beg for help. That was retarded, we're axing that whole ending plot point.- Mike gets music box, puppet fucks off. Suddenly Mike is getting a phone call. Jeremiah is at Fazfest and sees TB and TF, calling him like "They're causing chaos" or something. I need to give it more thought, but I somehow want the main gang to end up back at Fazfest. Might need to go back and change previous plotpoints to make this work.- Mike, Vanessa, Abby arrive to a deserted fazfest. Masks on the ground, flyers blowing in the wind, blood splatters on the ground, the Toys were clearly repaired and had a massacre here. They're wondering whats going on, Michael appears, gives his same speech, "Break their bones", yadda yadda. As the Toys are about to fuck em up, Henry reappears with a device that looks like the Fazwrench with a LCD display showing the number 20. He dials the number back down to zero, and the toys deactivate, wink wink. Now here, Michael and Henry have a little chat about carrying the legacy of fazbears or something, this is where Henry reveals he was Aftons business partner. Same scene of Michael attempting to flee, Jeremiah knocks him out. Cut to Mike and Vanessa arguing about bullshit, they dont see Michael get up and limp away in the background. Cut to him more clearly, he limps towards a storm drain in the road before passing out. The shot has his hand coming in from off screen, and you hear the same slimy robot noises the Puppet was making. Basically setting up Ennard as already being inside Michael by this point. Cont..**
**- From here the ending is the same. Vanessa gets puppetted (The puppet made it to Fazfest somehow), Springtrap mid credit, post credit would still be a Henry monologue but it could go into more detail about the creation of "A vessel to contain that poor soul" (Lefty)Notice how the MCI kids souls are still trapped. In my mind, this would be the major plotpoint of FNaF movie 3. Vanessa wants to reissue her trust with Mike, explains how he can let Abby visit the kids one more time while setting the souls free. She repairs the old arcade cabinets using the boards she found in the FNaF 4 box. Abby plays the arcade games, glitching them and freeing the souls while Mike survives against Springtrap. Sounds like a good synopsis if you ask me. Not sure why they did the MCI freeing so fucking early, wasted goddamn opportunity. Probably don't do much with Ennard/Michael in this one though, save that for episodes 4 5 and 6, kek.**Anyway I know that was probably rough and had some plotholes, but its like 3am and I'm doing this off the dome.
