Something to consider in a 40k game is that there's very little crewed artillery, most of it is self propelled and decently armored. Off the top of my head Guard are the only ones with crewed artillery and even then that's only a couple pieces.

Coming from Pharaoh, specifically dynasties, you could see how a lot of those systems could make an awesome fantasy game - locally sourced troops being different than faction units, religion (where possibly aedra or daedra could go), more court mechanics. Then consider each race's lore and the time it takes place in, there's a ton of options for cool shit. Orcs having great heavy armor but shit diplomacy and maybe khorne-like benefits to being perpetually at war, black marsh being inhospitable to non-argonians, bosmer's food resource being entirely meat meaning you don't have to build farms but have to hunt or cannibalize prisoners, etc. CA is already saying they want to include consoles, what better IP to just print money from console players?
We won't have to worry about the community demanding easy confederations in tw40k because half the lords will be black and either implicit or explicit biases will prevent most players from wanting them

We never see a Slann go mad with ambition and push the limits of its magical talents the way Nagash does though. The spell that killed and reanimated all of Nehakara as undead slaves is about on par with moving mountain ranges I would say. I would guess that the most powerful Slann str equal to or Nagash but to return to the elves which are the original topic he simply wipes the floor with almost all of them easily.

It's actually incredible how disappointing Dechala's campaign is. They blatantly overcooked the cost on upgrading her thrall camps, so there's no point in not just leaving it at T1 until it runs out of thralls. She also just buffs up T1 marauder trash with all of her skills, but not in a powerful way at all like various other LLs scale T1 units into the lategame. They awkwardly just slapped chaos dwarf mechanics on her, but she doesn't actually do anything significant with resource management in the way supplies/armaments work. Definitely feels rushed and half baked

Does AI get rid of marks of slaanesh that you apply to them? given marks of slaanesh give you thralls per turn I am enjoying having cultists walk through the world and spread pink herpes, knowing it only benefits me in the long run.
