I want to see her win, not force her to intentionally lose. so I switched over to air groove who is an easier anti-end debuffer to build, and a character I don't particularly like, and then did one more attempt to get slightly more debuffs and did. The final air groove has subdued flustered hesitant and frenzied end closers, subdued pace chasers, and trick front, as well as a viable groundwork setup, and lone Wolf to deny everyone else. Part of me wants to send a few more runs but honestly I don't think I'll get better than that without another 10 or so runs. Skill hints are a bitch and a half and getting trick front on the 1st sweep hint and subdued end at all off Rudolph is a fucking miracle all on its own.Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

If you enter the final leg without enough HP to survive even by a single point the game starts rolling wit checks to determine how good your spurt is going to be. I don't know if you've noticed, but most of the horses in Long CM don't have amazing wit. In a Sprint or a mile where people have frequently 800 to 1200 wit, rolling the best possible spurt is very likely and you can probably start accelerating only half a second late and reach 99% of your potential velocity. In a long, you're more likely to fail the first few spurt checks and wind up on option five or six and be so delayed and so capped that you just will not come back from it. I'd rather bring a 900 speed Uma with zero chance of gassing out than a 1200 speed Uma that risks gasing every race.
