Lanolin's character is interesting, it just isn't ever going to be reflected properly in porn unlike Surge. She's the anti-social kind of autist-adjacent with poor awareness instead of the quirky le wholesome kind, and has very little chemistry with any potential partner due to her personality being so alien to Sonic's world. Compare that to Surge who's so easy to understand even coombrains 100% get her character and has a fuckton of potential chemistry with most of the cast.

Yuki Imada says he wants his Shadow manga to be recreated into a movie and that he wants Blade of Courage to receive an anime. I don't think Shadow's manga can get a movie unless they put elements of it into a paramount spinoff about Shadow. A BOC anime is much more likely with the manga to anime format

Money is not defining factor for whether they change Sonic, they do things back on what the fans want because they know the general public doesn't actually give a fuck regardless. We're loud and obnoxious though, so they do things we want to reduce possibility of negative press.IDW makes less money than the games, movies and prime combined, but there was still higher possibility of them trying to take that version of him and write it into the games. But due to heavy backlash from fans between Prime and IDW, these media are the ones being retroactively adjusted to be more like the games than the other way around. Prime characters will be canon, but the Sonic they interact with won't act like the one in Prime. They could bring over elements of the movies like the electricity, but he won't act like movie sonic while doing it. It's quite simple to understand

Genuinely, and I say this without a shred of malice in my heart, the opinion of those who like Archie or SATAM are effectively worthless at this time. Sega doesn't pay attention to it at all and actively go out of their way to avoid discussing it like when Iizuka got questioned about the Freedom Fighters and he hard pivoted to saying they're in partnership with IDW now. Sonic Stadium was even forced to delete the tweet mentioning that this occurred.
The freedom fighters are intrinsically tied to Sonic being grossly mischaracterized in order to fit an ooc pairing.
