I really don't get people being upset about the nerfs. Either TCM is the absolute only meta till EOS and you play those long battles over and over, or the entire game's design is warped around them (powercreep so everyone has near-infinite combos, huge debuffs on bosses that kill other things in the process), or they nerf.Sure, the fact that they were designed this way in the first place is concerning, but should we really throw game balance out the window so people don't get upset about nerfs, especially to free characters?? Okay, let's actually be optimistic here... there is a non-zero amount of resources being directed to rewrite the story that no one cares about because it's already scuffed and will never be as good as what we were supposed to have before 30% cheaper nigger cocks in Dawei inserted his homosexual love into the game... and after the rewrite is done, those people will either be sent to other projects or the additional "help" will simply disappear and there will be no additional attention paid to any other aspect of the game than what is currently happening... and as far as content goes, we are all but assured to get the same 9 week schedule of one (1) heavily nerfed Chaos planet that they want us to use to farm perfect decks (again) so that we can kill the new (read: old, recycled) bosses except this time they'll counter the characters that you've been building because that's a popular strategy now and they do not play their own game so they have no idea how to balance it other than to nerf the most popular strategies, so you'll need to farm decks for comparatively and progressively weaker teams than you were using, while they release units that are at a "new" power level, as the effectively phase out the good characters and reestablish an new baseline power level that characters and decks are capable of being at, through a series of controlled nerfs to good things that people were having fun with, and this cycle will repeat every 9 weeks until EoS.

I mean, aside from the fact that they released the game with horrendous character ascension economics, bolted on a gear casino between the last beta and release as well as a turn-gated endgame mode in a card game where 'control' is a deck archetype, made the writers redo the story so many times that they quit and forgot to clean up all the now-irrelevant art assets in the release build, and have had zero successes when it comes to crafting a limited character kit that is competitive vs. standard character kits and added an unnecessary pvp leaderboard, they have shown just how much they understand the game they've made. Just look at how quickly they implemented the transparency QoL with Chaos to let players know how decks are saved. Who would've known that's a basic feature that people would've wanted just be playing the game?
