I just beat Sengoku Rance.It bothered me that they changed Nobunaga from being a fiend himself as stated in 5D; I guess that was probably a holdover from KR which I haven't done yet. I also didn't like that Motonari's daughters don't have even a tiny event when their sister explodes. I specifically got all three in anticipation of that. The ally characters in general felt pretty shallow because of how their stories unlock. I only got four character clears, but nothing really came from any of them. Lastly, Rance felt noticably ooc in several scenes.Overall I did really enjoy the game though; mainly when the Monster Army appears. I thought the game felt somewhat toothless compared to VI before then, but now it feels like the darkest one yet. Xavier was a very solid villain.

And from a game dev standpoint, well most players will never ever see all the events. So how many can you add? I don't even think the craziest SR autists ITT have seen every single event.The way they did characters in X is different but much better, it's the reverse where characters can't randomly die so most scenes can include almost anyone. And the meal ticket system adds a few events dedicated to every single character, so nobody is left wanting.

While you wait for Mouri you should rush down one country at a time to reduce attacks coming your way. I would rush down Tokugawa in one, maybe two turns. The opened border with the hannies would mean little as they are weak and you can get them through an event. Rush down Mouri when they are left with only one territory and play as normal afterwards. All the while you should lose some defensive battles while not actually losing territory. You need to reload saves at the end of the turn if they attack in the wrong spot if you have the patience for that.

>>551744424Some general things to consider. You really only need to defend the last province which means that you can let some attacks go. Dont try and retake territory in provinces you still own, and when you fully conquer a house, you take back all their provinces you own if they had conquered some. If takeda attacks one of your provinces, then tokugawa gets the 2nd territory in that province, tokugawa owns both. If you then conquer tokugawa then you take back both at the same time. Enemies scale with how many provinces you own, so the more you take, the stronger they become, so its sometimes worth taking the harder ones first. Check your exposure. Takeda can hit 3 of your provinces (which is better) because their is less threat to them claiming the last territory of any one territory. Enemies will counterattack if you've conquered a territory, and are more likely to leave you alone (even at war) if you havent taken one of their territories. Also, the AI wont attack if another house has already taken a territory that turn. Their are exceptions to this with blitzes, and it changes with difficulty, but it is exploitable.To sum up, when you attack, try and do it as fast as possible. Take a province in 1 or 2 turns to limit the counterattacks, and spread as many attacks over as many provinces as possible, only defending when you need to.I'd go a little different to the other anon, I'd go after Takeda first, top left, then top right, then bottom so as not to open up the border with the hannies. You can take over them easy, but I prefer the option where you get the SAT. There's a dungeon (I think in Kai) where you get a lot of satisfaction so I'd try and conquer there first. Also make sure Rance is strong enough to take on the Takeda generals in the 1v3 before you finishTakeda
