I really don't get people being upset about the nerfs. Either TCM is the absolute only meta till EOS and you play those long battles over and over, or the entire game's design is warped around them (powercreep so everyone has near-infinite combos, huge debuffs on bosses that kill other things in the process), or they nerf.Sure, the fact that they were designed this way in the first place is concerning, but should we really throw game balance out the window so people don't get upset about nerfs, especially to free characters?? This is coming from someone who built all three of TCM btw. I had fun while it lasted, and I'm happy that I'll play something different next season.

Okay, let's actually be optimistic here... there is a non-zero amount of resources being directed to rewrite the story that no one cares about because it's already scuffed and will never be as good as what we were supposed to have before 30% cheaper nigger cocks in Dawei inserted his homosexual love into the game... and after the rewrite is done, those people will either be sent to other projects or the additional "help" will simply disappear and there will be no additional attention paid to any other aspect of the game than what is currently happening... and as far as content goes, we are all but assured to get the same 9 week schedule of one (1) heavily nerfed Chaos planet that they want us to use to farm perfect decks (again) so that we can kill the new (read: old, recycled) bosses except this time they'll counter the characters that you've been building because that's a popular strategy now and they do not play their own game so they have no idea how to balance it other than to nerf the most popular strategies, so you'll need to farm decks for comparatively and progressively weaker teams than you were using, while they release units that are at a "new" power level, as the effectively phase out the good characters and reestablish an new baseline power level that characters and decks are capable of being at, through a series of controlled nerfs to good things that people were having fun with, and this cycle will repeat every 9 weeks until EoS.

Yeah, balance nerfs to non-gacha games are more widely accepted, because there are no limited resources or money involved. Some people rolled for e6 Tressa, not necessarily for Chizuru, and she's absolutely going to get gutted. There's also the fact that in gacha games, (You) always want to have the advantage over the dev. If something like TCM exists, f2p have an option until they implement something like Time Eater. If the devs are constantly nerfing things that go against their vision of forcing players to roll for every 5*, incentivizing spending, it just leave a bad taste in people's mouths. You never want to be in a position in a gacha game where you feel like you must roll. If this game were single player, artifactslop wouldn't exist, Manifest Egos wouldn't exist (the character would just have all of their kit or you'd get it by playing with them), and you'd have all characters in your roster at all times.
