I went back to talk to Iris again (i also couldnt find it) and i talked to her, she will say "Sometimes they are in the snow, hard to find" which made me rage but i went back to the start and checked the right box, wasn't there, then i went to the shed on the left, and it was there. Thats how i completed the quest.

The gold mimic is the bear looking enemy. Once you find one, run around and full clear the map again and come back to where the mimic spawned and it should be there. If is not there, you missed an enemy somewhere. If you leave town you have to get a map with the mimic spawn again. You can however port to other floors and camp for sp/mp if you really need it. This works for ninjas as well.

Something to note while mimic farming, I think you may need to reveal the entire map, the respawns fill somewhat randomly, as in I've seen non mimic respawns trigger the same pack 2-3 times before the mimic respawns, and without the side routes too many monsters may be locked into those areas.

If you're lucky, you can crit-shatter the wolf to death. Once the boss wolf is dead, the other wolves turn into easy fodder where even a fully frozen and nearly dead team can defeat.

Combined with chronostasis from the MC the boss barely got to act outside of it's scripted summoning at low HP.

yea trying to beat the wolf without any mages is just stupid. i'll come back when i have a fire/water mage leveled. without the big AoE spells you're spending all your turns killing the smaller wolves and stabilizing yourself, even while you're spamming inferno scrolls. also the MC has to be the in the back, i had two deaths from getting shattered.i did come close with one attempt, he used his final howl but i ran out of scrolls and got overwhelmed.

Is gold mimic farm actually viable on my first a4 run or should I rush to my second run? If I really have to clear out the whole map for mobs to respawn and so much of the maps is blocked off on my first run it seems like a run 2 thing
