I think Charge Blade should be the only transforming weapon. Switch Axe should just be a big axe. I think fiddling with extracts on Insect Glaive sucks. I won't go as far as saying I hate the insect part of IG, but I think using it primarily to fetch extracts is lame. Killing Alatreon with only the kinsect was great though and made it feel like I was using a Ranger/Pet weapon.

I want to get into gunlance and I got the godroll of rathalos/lords soul on a 4 attack 1 sharpness gog weaponOnly issue is I don’t know which is more fun, normal or wide. What would the gunlancers here recommend? From the speedruns I saw of both, it appears like the wide gameplay still does the crazy wyvern stake full burst combos which are the bread and butter for normal. During massive openings at least. So it seems like wide isn’t as repetitive as merely charging shells and wyvern firing. Although I wonder then what the point is of normal since they don’t use charged shells and it seems like the fun combo is done on wide anyways

Thinking back on it I'm not sure how I feel about hunters getting these luxurious homes in mainline games. Obviously it's not every mainline game but several of them do eventually give you a really nice mansion type place to live. I just don't picture being a hunter as this high and mighty job. It seemed clear to me that most hunters are average joes having a drink at the tavern before going out to risk their lives. I guess it's supposed to be a reward for the player but it just doesn't feel right for a hunter

Something strange happened in the /mhg/ squad today. We started a Gogmazios hunt, and somehow, none of the NPC support hunters spawned (Kai, Mina, Nadia and Fabius). It was only us 4 players, and it took us nearly 20 minutes to even reach phase 2. In phase 3, there was no Fabius to block the super attack, so we had to rely on our own shield users to block it.Has this happened to anyone else? I'm wondering if it's replicable. I don't know how it happened either.
