I think Evan is a good writer and people only hate it because they feel obligated to hate something that is softer or ooc. Evan isn't trying to make a grand statement on how the characters should be, these are her takes on the characters. Different writers having different interpretations is more interesting than every writer trying their best to make the characters accurate to the games.
