Warriors, bears and (shadow) priests are the only true hybrids in raid environments. Bears and warriors can go from strong dps into solid tanks just by shapeshifting / changing stance and shadow priests provide good healing just from doing their dps rotation. These classes do this in their dps spec as needed mid combat encounter.

Were Paladins always played by faggots? I remember in 2005 most of the forum whingers were Paladins. Many wanted to do quite literally what Warriors could do but with the safety net of bubbles/heals/plate and so on and thought it was unfair that they couldn't. Others just wanted plate gear instead of dresses. In game I think I remember them being pretty insufferable. Total main character syndrome. Some were cool and I always thought the Paladin mains who knew how to get the most out of their support kit were linchpins in pvp, seriously it was hard to win without them. But so many Paladins just wanted to run around in Lightforge gear with a blue weapon tickling horde to death.It feels like the Paladin playerbase has just gotten worse. It's now full of """neurodivergent""" people ie trans and whatnot. Is it the pink nameplate? The fact that (in turtle) they can be pretty high elves that better reflect how they (in their delusion) see themselves irl? Also they are just as insufferable now that 3rd worlders can do the whole deus vult larp.I used to play a lot of tabletop d&d and Paladins were usually just annoying no fun allowed buzzkills

>>551946481Its feast or famish as a ret on turtle.The sad reality is that Paladin attracts a lot of massive shitters so you are going to have to constantly prove yourself.The good thing about that is, that you can easily tripple the output of the average ret-player, i sometimes go to pugs to top the meters and see how many people ask me for rotations/builds afterwards for fun.Once you have proven yourself as "one of the good ones" youre going to be like the token black guy of your guild with the difference that you arent actually black, they will be glad to have one of the good ones because having a good ret in your raid is the best defense against shitters, they have no excuse to crawl around at the bottom of the meters because you are living proof that it shouldnt be that way.Take evil as an example, Eyba showed what a ret can do and theo got rightfully bullied for being a shitter that does half of Eyba's dps.You have to be willing to farm gold since ret is probably the most expensive spec to raid as, maybe enhance is on the same level but I think they dont scale nearly as much with spellpower as ret does so you can get away with just using the consumes that a warrior would use. It's all or nothing, so if you arent confident in yourself then play something else, otherwise its going to be absolutely miserable, unless you join a guild that tolerates and feeds loot to absolute deadweights, like Evil with their deadweight GM, but in that case you arent exactly "pumping deeps".An absolute braindead class that does a lot of damage is rogue, but its way too late now as we are a few weeks away from rogues receiving their massive nerfs, I recommend arcane mage for doing a lot of dps with minimal effort, feral/enhance/warrior if you want to use a bit more brainpower, feral as a safe bet as it is the dev's current favorite.

There's far, far too many people playing the class and it ultimately isn't all that great. If you want to go Holy you'll be like a unicorn and FAR more in demand. It's actually easier, believe it or not, to gear up your offspecs as a Holy Paladin than it is trying to get into raids as prot or ret.Druids are also slept on and really shouldn't be given how fucking blatant the dev favoritism is. They're flying under the radar pretty hard. I wonder if that'll change, a lot of the ire is directed towards pally/sham when really it should be towards Druids
