Arena is in danger of killing tarkov for me. I have gained like four or five levels over the past two days just from playing rockem sockem robots with zero stakes except my soul. It's additionally made the base game feel less scary and tense. I liked when it felt scary and tense and when leveling was contingent on threading the needle between psychopathic juicers to get my timmy quests done for a pittance. Now I'm level 20 and i can buy level 4 plates. The real game just feels cheaper now.

You learn how to survive too often in PVE, and that takes away the excitement after you've learned the maps, etc. PVP can have a random player bringing wrath down upon you at any moment. You can loot a crate 500 times and on the 501st time you get sniped in the head randomly.
