So using the resources won't be too bad

Umamusume involves a ton of decision-making even in parent runs anyway and the bots are not yet sophisticated enough to beat real human input, so you will always be better off grinding them out by hand. Parent runs are also great for learning to play the game because you'll often be using a gimped deck, which will throw more difficult decisions at you and help improve your decision-making for actual ace runs.
