Just to repeat from the last thread, with the "missing agent" investigation in DH, everything really does pivot on finding this heap of bodies. It's in the swamp, just past the control panel thing on the wall. You follow some footprints that appear to lead out of the swamp, and you find a scannable location.It unravels the whole mystery and gives you what feels like the "true" ending to the whole kroot situation.Strange that there's only one way to get the proper ending.

Arcanum is a product of its time that I think has difficulty standing on its own, in a vacuum. You had to be there. Back then steampunk shit was trending for some weird reason and it came out exactly at the right moment to take advantage of it. Trying to focus on the magic instead of tech stuff in that game will leave you disappointed.At the same time it does have soul to it, it is actually inspired, it just needs better fleshing out, because there's no reason to play it except for nostalgia.

But for people that played +10 crpgs (bare minimum to post here, 50+ to have good opinions) its a C&C or choice and consequence game, with an emphasis on atmosphere, but not very good combat and middling story. no one plays dungeon rats (game newfags never played) and complained about story because its a combat game
