In BFR's video he claims he was running PoE up until Affliction league. That about lines up with the time when they stopped even talking about respecting their players. Sure LoK was a terrible decision, but even then they talked a lot about why they thought it was a good one. Since he's left, there's really been no pretense that they're interested in treating their players like people who are even worth talking to. He really was the soul of the company - not in the SOVL game design sense, but in terms of the company feeling like it had a bit of humanity.

Every time I try to read up on something it gets more and more complicated. I have no idea how to craft without the bench from poe1. Im reading up on maps mechanics, but I figured I would just learn to craft as I needed to. GGG's design philosophy on game balance in POE2 has always baffled me.
