It converges the routes a bit more, writes out a super smart mcguffin-esque character, and rewards hero Mechamen, while maybe something else happens if you didn't spare him like getting shot without anyone blocking the shot. Something big without necessarily being too impactful that you can't wrap up by the next episode

Gameplay wise, not character wise.Flambae is simply OP with flight and Comet active.Golem is just as OP with 4 slot missions, but it takes a while before I usually get him that upgrade. Prism is a lifesaver. Nuff said.BB... I don't know, she's just solid all-rounder. I was considering not including her since she basically shows up at the 11th hour and can contribute next to nothing if you don't fail on purpose.P-Man is good at early stage, greater with the upgrade that reduces the rest time for his partner, but he gets fucked up by those missions with fail conditions and on a roster with lacking chars with CHA and INT he becomes a hinderance. But he's still good.Meh, I have no strong opinions on Coupe. I just haven't played much with her.As much as I love Waterboy as a character he's not that great when you're short on staff and forced to send him solo.Sonar is awesome due to his flight ability letting him carry his teammates, but the whole shifting mechanic makes him so unreliable. There were moments where I desperately needed his intelligence but he was stuck in the bat form, so that left a bad taste in my mouth.Punch Up's gimmick is worthless. I hate game mechanics that require you to lose on purpose. His only saving grace is the Squeeze In ability that is great when paired with Waterboy for solo calls.Invisigal is so fucking weird. Her precog upgrade is useless on second playthroughs once you know what to expect, and her Wolf Pack ability directly fights against the Lone Wolf. I can't remember when was the last that I've sent her solo. I don't even want to talk about Malevola. She's just pure trash. Like complete and utter trash with awful stats that don't pair up well with neither Sonar or Waterboy or even P-Man AND HERE PORTALS STILL NEED WOUNDS. She should've been the option to cut instead of Coupe purely for gameplay reasons.
