The human staff from the EoR days is also back, but da Vinci is the smaller one.Everyone is incredibly confused by the situation, but da Vinci explains that they're stuck in a time bubble between 2019 and 2020, and that the TRISMEGISTUS describes this abnormal as a Beast threat. Maris is unmistakably defeated, but a new Beast situation occurred, and they need to defeat in order to step into the future they conquered by their previous efforts. And the only way to so is blindly inspecting Singularities until we find the one where the Beast is hiding. It's also noted that Goetia and Maris had Chaldea as inevitable parts of their machinations, but this new Beast made a point to reconstruct Chaldea without any need to, revealing its childish competitive spirit: the new Beast is actively trying to prove they're strong.Mash and Fujimaru are still the Singularity explorers as usual, and da Vinci can continue in her technical advisor role, but without Goredolf and Holmes, Chaldea needs a new director and administrative advisor.
