Any mod there which allows me to add landmarks (or any way to do so) when selecting my starting point?
I want to start in an iceberg at north pole, but it's pretty hard to find a place like that, and the landmarks seem to change on every new game.
Or is there some way to reset the landmark seed thing? I got a place I liked once, but even with the same seed, I keep getting different landmarks after selecting the narrator settings.

Not able to test at the moment with devmode. Landmarks are controlled by tile mutators. I suspect it is not something you can modify after the world is generation step. You can make a patch to increase tile mutator chance for the biome you want. I know a mod dropped this morning on steam that does something similar. Should show under most recent. You can see how the mod does the patching and modify it for what mutator and biome you are think of.

Not having tech proficiency is starting to become a problem so Karl is having private meetings with Lucius to put together a lesson plan for a full size class.

I thought I'd try dragonians, as they are one of the top races around.
But they seem to be way too powerful. Do you guys actually use them, or have them enabled in your games? I started their scenario, and they just need nothing, eat grass and produce resources, no research, they kill every raid easily. Feels like you've already won on day 1.

It's feels weird, and not in a good way. You start off at 94/102 gravstructure, so you can barely expand your ship at the start, 125 would at least have allowed some building. Oxygen is now important with vacsuits no longer making you completely immune to vacuum, but since oxygen pumps are locked behind research you're not going back to orbit until it's researched.

Seems like it fixed itself somehow. I did notice in the log that Socio Butterfly was running checks to force colonists not to eat so they would eat at assigned meal times except it would do it like 90 times in a row.

Tried the mod once, to make a colony to breed prisoners. Felt like a mod you'd use once and then that's it, the concept didn't really work. Surprised they put so much effort into it.
Procreation made them so unhappy they always broke and rebelled, and then prisoners don't take care of their children, so you had to adopt them to put them in a vat. So it was almost like a regular colony in the end. Breeding takes a long time too of course. And the entire operation needed so much food, every free pawn spent all their time farming or feeding the prisoners or milking.

This game desperately needs ways to increase raid difficulty without just throwing 30+ dickheads at your colony all at once. Im fine with big tribal raids since they're generally weak but under no circumstances should I have 30 piggers with marine armor and assault rifles attacking my base.
A better designed game would have made enemy factions scale by giving them new tools and enemy types instead of just doubling their numbers every raid. The only Oskar faction mod I actually like is pirates because the warcaskets give their raids actual progression, by lategame you get fewer pirates in a raid but they're more dangerous because they're all space marines.

Raids need to be staggered out more so they're attrition fights rather than testing your ability to create elaborate deathtraps. it does let you pick, and i told it to land somewhere else. oskarslop doesn't give a fuck, it lands where it wants to land, right on top of a caravan full of explosives, sending my faction rep to minus infinity and turning the whole area south of my base into a scorching wasteland.
i'm lucky the main pawn only lost two legs and an arm. i was only barely able to amputate his shoulder after botching the surgery.

i've since enslaved a guy with 10 medical and put on two peg legs, that pawn is still totally useless. food is very tight, luckily that slave was a raider who brought me a rifle: there was a mad animal at the time, otherwise i would probably have died there since my final living pawn was a genie. unluckily, i'm running out of ammunition, only have about two magazines worth of ammo on this scrap rifle.

finally, the gravship is all fucked up. a ton of the tiles are busted - you can't build anything on them, not even a sleeping spot - and i don't have any grav plates to fix them. those mechs drop a wreckage that has 15 gravplates, which would be very helpful, but i couldn't deconstruct it before leaving. i don't have biofuel refining either, i rushed xenogenics because i got a Great Shooting genepack early from a quest, i don't regret that but it means gunsmithing and prosthetics are far away.

I remember when I had a drop pod raid once. I had a lot of FSX and never organized them onto shelves. Drop pod raid just happened to land in the store room and caused a massive chain reaction completely clearing it out. Raiders popped out of the pods like nothing happened. Crazy how those pods can survive explosions that can make pawns completely disintegrate yet can't even survive a single use.

How often does it send prompts? I've got a free proxy that has access to a shitload of different models, including Deepseek, but it's got a max context size of 40000 tokens and max response length of 5000 tokens. As long as your proxy gives you an API key that you can enter it should work fine. You should be fine on context size, I think it tells you how many tokens the main AI instruction prompt will take in the mod options but I can't remember off the top of my head. After you said this, I went to try to measure it out and...yeah, it doesn't work. It all ends up being weird. I mean it looks good, but the actual room placement doesn't work.

So instead, I decided that maybe having some sort of cocentric square with roads in the middle would be more effective while also looking better. This is part of what I was able to come up with; I think the only thing missing is an hydroponics zone (will be done in the next ring since it needs to be beeg) and a hospital, which i'm not sure whether i should put in the free space, or perhaps if I should just make "localized" hospitals in the north and south since that's where the pawns will probably get hurt the most and thus they won't need to be dragged off a long way. If that was the case, i'd probably turn the free space into a laboratory.

Why thanks guys! I did spent a bunch of time tailoring them. Though the problem seems to pop up again like here again >>553921548, I noticed that animations would start playing again if I either draft or open the character editor / face editor. Would be better if it didn't have to resort to that.
Meanwhile the only guy in the colony is isolated in a floating island on a mausoleum, inside a cryocasket alongside his loyal Alpha Thrumbo companion, guarded by three giga mechanoids. Filename sort of related, since he'll only come out if the colony is in complete pandemonium, which requires them to travel to the far north of the planet to unlock the casket.
