Can someone give me the lore of how alters work in this game. Is it like FGO where they are a completely different characters and can exist at the same time and can even interact with the original? Or are they like Limbus Company where it's all alternate universes. Or is like HSR where they're all canonically the same person, both don't exist at the same time, just different forms depending on the timeline of the story.

You should have a lot of life so -3 is nothing, it's kind of a tax desu. E1's and weak blockers are no good for that stage, they'll just die. You need to just put down tons of damage right in the middle.

Imagine if instead of the chapter/event stage map it's an actual map with stages you can traverse and attack structures to harvest their resources. You can get raided by armies of hundreds of enemies and build fortifications on stages to intercept and kill them. You can't borrow friend supports so it's kind of fucking annoying and due to the stat/block check of harvesting resources and HG preventing you from reusing the same ops on the same day in RA2 unlike RA1 your roster's depth is needlessly strained. You can dive to unlock gathering devices to offset a lack of ops and use support items for a lack of strong ops but paying the gatherer tax drains a lot of the resources you want to use and you're on a countdown until you have to be able to kill the first boss or you get trapped in a softlock loop. RA2 doesn't carry over base progress or resources like RA1 did and the tech tree isn't very useful so it really ends up as a softlock situation with no way to advance and starting over not changing anything.If you can get deeper you can get at the passive income unlocks and better everything to make do with worse ops but it's kind of hard since you're relying on having 1-3+ helidrop AoE dps/crowd control ops to stop the guy's raid entourage, strong vanguards, a permanent tank/debuffer/buffer/overhealing loop to hold the boss down, and misc stuff like FRDs to bait rocket shots, all with food buffs while you kill off his entourage. And again you can't reuse ops on the same day so it's so so much harder to do that. Now it's possible you can assassinate the boss but it's more likely you'll simply kill off most of his entourage then tank and spank him when at your final line of interception. Which is hard to furnish with defenses cause you're paying the gatherer tax and your ops can't do much to help them gather if they can even protect the gatherers at all
