Speaking of Shakomon, it is one of my favorite Digimon, and I finally finished filling out my favorite Digimon chart after working on it here and there for a few yearsAs you can see, I have some consistent favored visual motifs: I love demonic/evil jester designs as seen with Keramon, Impmon, Cherubimon Vice Jokermon, Piemon etc, and I highly suspect Keramon and Cherubimon in "Digimon the movie" established that for me. I also have a thing for ghostly fire, which can be seen in the Meramon line (Deathmeramon in particular I think was a big influence for making it a favorite trope of mine), Flawizarmon Shroudmon, the new ghost babies, and a few other Digimon which didn't quite make the cut like Oboromon and Enbarmon. You can also see how much I love big Lovecraftian tentacle abominations with Diablomon, Arcadimon, Algomon, Quartzmon, etc, and big claws, sickles, or even just hands/arms, with Diablomon again, Snimon, Kyukimon, etc. Lastly, I'm a big fan of Digimon's original 90's punk aesthetic (tons of Digimon I wouldn't otherwise care about I still like such as Elecmon, Gizamon, Greymon etc for this reason though not enough to make it in the chart) and bold bright neon colors, especially green, which is why Shakomon, Pomumon, Pulsemon, Bulkmon etc are here. Beyond that I think most of my favorites are explained by me just being into edgy designs in general.
