With the sheer number of HP triggers now, raw maximum damage output doesn't really seem to matter to me anymore unless you're a gigawhale who can deal a barrage of 30k attacks and just face tank the triggers with your 900 HP characters, and otherwise just being able to steadily output and control the flow of the battles now seems far more important, since you're going to lose damage per turn races otherwise.

So Eventually enemies will just have more more acc than you can ever build eva for, more sur resist than you can ever build sur for, more eva than you can ever build acc for (although that one scales decently well with new glove tiers) What are they thinking? Scaling aside, the real issue imo is that they make it basically take months until you can farm anything remotely as strong as your old gear, all we get right now is mostly dogshit greens and 1-3 stars. The weapons are the only ones barely competing with my purple 4 star ebonsteel stuff,all the armor pieces outside of hunting boots are dead until we get a way more generous cave. It feels silly having a new abyss and feeling like you either have to win the fey junk lottery or just get no upgrades at all outside of weapons. I think new abyss gear should powerscale old gear out of existence the moment it drops. Whales and macrovirgins would never want that though.

Livana has a ranged axe skill wih good scaling and Elise has a 10% buff for her and a neutral ally (MC) which makes her almost always at least a good pick for a team. Both have knight CC which makes them tanky and safe in case of ambushesIdk if its worth stacking some piety for benis since she has the priest passive though
