With Primed Target Cracker you're around 53% crit rate. Blast might make up for it in AOE, but viral is much better than corrosive in a lot of practical scenarios. Even if you're getting viral from a pet, I'd personally cover viral+mag+heat before modding corrosive. The pistol magnetic mod gives you crit damage too, +1.2 with Regulator's high base.
