>>553866994Vote to move /sing/ to /diy/: all in favor say aye.We can slip under the radar if we all start building simpits.
New nook option aircraft already being teased
>>553869141We could call it /simpg/, Simpit General. I'm sorry guys, I let the thread die today because work was a little too busy, we got fucked in the ass by gacha characters with no lube...
F-117 + F-111? Nightvark?
>>553870519Aardhawk
>>553869141>yeah, my X-52 is a great start to my simpit. The $99 computer chair with a hard lean from years of use really simulates the F-16's hard angle seatIt could work. >>553870248>go to bed>wake up>/simg/ is deadBack to tradition, really.
>>553870519Danger Dorito.
>>553873820>jamming pods, very low RCS, higher capacity than Ifrit, 7-8g turn limit, fastest plane in the gamePowercreep is getting out of hand. This better bankrupt you financially.
>>553875084Relax, I heard Dassault was going to be porting their Rafale into Fission Conundrum after they are done dunking on every existing DCS module.
>>553865195How is nba 2k this year?
>>553876963Probably indistinguishable from last year, as always. It's just clicks and whistles to me!

BeamNG drive a good race sim or should I migrate to something good like AC? I like the way the cars deform after I fuck up a corner.
>>553869141/fly it yourself/
>>553909727AC is more a racing sim, has a great modding scene and you can do a lot with it.
>>553865195Based egg
>>553910072I mean in terms of realism, which of these two offers a better racing experience? I've liked beamng so far and I feel that shifting gears is much easier than in AC.
AC is better for multiplayer, has more cars and classic tracks. Its even possible to mod rally in. Beam has very good physic engine and better open world. ac corsa pic*
>>553916483I want to say AC but I don't know what Beamng is like these days, also remember Beamng has fictional cars compared to AC's real ones.
>>553919227>>553920008Grip and ffb are both the same or AC is better. I've notice that some cars in beamng have no attrition while others handle quite heavy.Same vehicle, for example, a Lotus Type 43. AC is quite heavy and in beam is white light and more unstable.
can a drivefag explain load cell pedals to me?I get that they work based on pressure, but if you have a hall/potentiometer pedal with a spring and damper attachment, isn't it the same?since distance of travel would depend on pressure and compressing the spring and polymer?
>>553921720Price tag.
Bump
>>553921918can't be just that can it?
Jesus Christ vg is cancer. bump
>>553869141just move to /vm/
>>553937026It's probably going to be a dead month for releases. SU5 might be out in the next few weeks for 2024 though.
>>553937845this is a great idea, actually.
https://www.x-plane.com/2025/12/whats-new-in-12-4-0/Holy shit, finally with the VR fixes. I'm tired of those blurry glass panels.
>>553937845This could work, DCS, IL2 are multiplayer games weeks after buying. And MSFS and Xplane are multiplayer games once you join VATSIM or IVAO
>>553939587I forgot, does DCS have this option yet?
>>553921720Not a drivefag but I do work in industrial manufacturing. Load cells more accurately measure the force you’re actually exerting, a spring with a set weight and a sensor can only mimic that. For brakes, which are normally hydraulic, this is way more important than on something like a throttle or clutch.
>>553942179lolno
>>553941852>weeks after buyingwhat?they're multiplayer games right awayalso racing sims are multiplayer.
>>553945258>>553869141>>553937845got it, could be named /simg/ (The m is for Multiplayer, trainfags need to be creative because afaik those games are singleplayer, but Im just guessing). If this thread is closer to getting killed prematurely I'll make one in that board. Let's see if the jannies dont kill it.
thoughts on flightgear?
>>553948534>'Who the fuck plays this shit?' - the game
>>553948534>flightgeartheir performance is really not that great. imo is just better to save and buy Xplane-11 if you are short on cash and dont have a "good" computer. FG is more for the open source /g/ obsessed fags that also like flightsims.
>>553948019We should probably run the /vg/ and /vm/ threads in parallel for a couple bump limits, we can't afford to lose a single poster now that M346anon is serving out his prison sentence.
thoughts on nuclear option?
>>553944718For a moment I tought it was a VR recording. Widescreen are really cool for sims.
>>553951978Getting MSFS running on all three monitors is something I haven't actually tried because I assumed the performance would be shit and I have trackir anyway.
>>553951978> VR recordingI wish, shit look pretty bad on recordings and screenshots due to only recording a single lens screen also because you have to downgrade the settings it doesn't look as good irl as a single flat screen. But the immersion is worth it after all the black magic you gotta do to improve your experience. One thing I tried is to simulate actual physical flat screens, bend them and I gotta say it looks pretty good. But still is a flat screen after all.
>>553948019>trainfags need to be creative because afaik those games are singleplayer, but Im just guessingwe got a couple
>>553951978Widescreen and headtracking is a neat combo.
>>553952104I ran 3x 27” 1080p panels for a minute which was neat but even with tiny bezels the seams activated my aut- killed my immersion.Thinking about investing in a nice curved ultra wide.
Last one for today.
>>553964485No, you have to keep posting for the next 8 hours so the thread stays alive.
