I think putting extra lore in the Passives is genius. People invested into the game get to learn more details about the characters and the worldbuilding without taking away the main focus of the story, and retard speedrunner secondaries that don't give a shit about the game would never stop to read passives so they can just ignore the lore and go straight to the Canto story. Everyone wins.

Leaving aside story talk for a moment? what did you feel about the fights? they weren't too hard but I really enjoyed engaging with the gimmicks. Having the backups be actual damage while the sinners need to specifically act as support was cool. "How many hits can I tank from greg" "oh fuck I need to overload the eye so verga can get some hits in"the only fight that was kinda shit was the middle nursefather since if you even dealt daamge to him you were getting countered so at some point I just all defense skills and let vespa and erza do it

The COULD have talked it out, but that would be extremely poor writing within the context of the story.
