It'll start getting fleshed out a bit during Mersault's canto as to the beginnings of the Fuck Robots portion, but the whole war with distortions and other shit probably isn't going to fully tap in until Outis.>The FaustcordBeing the dumbest Faust but also the most successful is probably going to tie into her being the most "human" Faust. The whole theme of humans being imperfect and illogical but also having the most potential for greatness. Certainly not enough to fill 3 parts of an entire Canto, not with this length. Like, what would happen, realistically? You'd have more flashbacks with the fathers, and possibly more foreshadowing for Signclair and Roach Emperor, but this would all just drag out what can already be depicted with a few scenes.So you would've had an Intervallo with the raid and then the Canto itself would've been like a 50-node long dungeon with really long redundant backstory scenes that, as a whole, wouldn't accomplish much beyond what the story already shows. Matthias, Callisto, Valencina, these guys help with the themes but they're not essential to the core of the plot. The story and setting are so self-contained that unlike Canto 8 you can't extract much worldbuilding or random NPCs to pad out the runtime. That's probably a deliberate choice, this story feels like it was written to be the opposite of 8 in lots of ways.The weakest aspect of Part 3 is the fact that Araya and Ryoshu's relationship needed more time to be developed. People blame this on Gregor and Sinclair, but this would've been a weakness of the Canto regardless just because of the fact you need to deal with 5 Nursefathers, spreading it thin.I personally would've just abandoned the whole plot twist and had Dihui Star revealed as Araya in Part 1 or at the end of Part 2. That way, all of Ryoshu's scenes later on could've focused on her relationship with Araya.
