Dungeons become door puzzles in labyrinths quickly. You kill literally 100s of the same simple enemies over and over, like it's diablo. A lot of backtracking through even more monsters. Mechanics aren't that deep or interesting. Sadly all the entertaining characters and flavor bits are few and far between, it's a basic dungeon crawler overall. Gets a bit more complex with quests and story in 7, but not that much.So yeah, if you can get through quickly it's a blast, otherwise a chore.

I would actually love to have an ork or a tau. Squats are less interesting and fun than either of those but that would be fine too. The game does lack representation for anything other than Imperium leaning humans and duplicitous eldar. Friendly eldar exist, and so do dozens of other species, and humanity is as varied as they are today. Yet Idira is the only heretical human companion, and eldar are the only xenos and both of them have bad personalities.Tau would be fun because their dlc would likely come with tau armor and weaponry and maybe even a new drone gameplay mechanic (none of the current pets are mobile gun platforms). He would likely be a firewarrior, and he can do the lore infodumps that owlcat loves doing about tau culture. Tau are also one of the xenos most open to dolly smooching so the romancers even have that going for them.There are a few things that are less likely and make less sense, like a necron, but there is an upcoming Trazyn dlc, and you never what could happen since he's eccentric. But I think it's more likely that we recruit a human or a xenos from his menagerie rather than him himself or another necron.

Which could be super interesting since she's insane.Plus with the various class, combat, graphics, etc improvements, it's shaping up to be pretty good and could easily surpass RT if the investigation stuff is satisfying and they are truthful about the story being more reactive.
