I really hope they re-work the WoC's gifts because I think the soul requirement is too high for late game units and the buffs are all over the place in regards to being useful. For example, once you unlock the ability to use gifts, I have the Khornes 35% post battle loot gift and the Nurgle's +75 growth per battle gift on for the first 30 or so turns, meanwhile, Tzeentch has a useless miscast chance magic "buff" and a research rate you have to constantly take off due to the public order penalty, the same goes for Slaanesh with its income buff. Later unlocks are basically not worth taking with Khorne because why would you ever not want the higher post-battle loot due to how expensive most WoC buildings are and most early/midgame income comes from battles. Also, I have no issues with the warband recruitment style but I do wish there was a higher probability to recruit certain units like Chaos Warriors and Knights, if youre losing units as WoC you deserve it for being bad.

It's counterintuitive, but slayers are countered by heavy shock cav: they have no mass to stop the charge and no speed to catch up. Just charge them and make them fly, then disengage a couple of seconds later.

Wood Elves often have woods and stalk aplenty so you can't see them until they can see you, too. With Globadiers having such shallow range they'll be spotted and have trouble catching woodsman elves. At any rate though nothing I've ever played vs Welves was as miserable as pre-update WoC invading WH1 Athel Loren. Every fucking unit was faster than my Chosen before Perfect Vigor on them was a thing, and hounds just got mulched. I think army loss penalties were way less prevalent if they even existed in WH1. It was probably the longest battle I've ever played, just waddling Chosen tree by tree trying to catch stray Welf units who couldn't see me(and therefore wouldn't engage) and I couldn't catch
