I used to be against DE's vehement hate towards afk strats, given that it's a pve game with no real competition, etc. etc.But then this phiosophy forces them to design engaging and meaningful gameplay. Yes, wf's not the most mechanically complex game, but it's still more in depth than Duet Night Abyss.I'm afraid the devs here will just get lazier and lazier, catering to afk whales who only pull for standing still/npc units that can nuke rooms while alt tabbed. There will be no reason to improve upon the combat if everyone's satisfied with rhythm-like characters for the efficiency of their kit.

Though I assume it would've been constantly mentioned if there was anything notable.This was originally a gacha game with a stamina system. With the removal of the stamina system, people were able to rush to the endgame much faster. Which ended up exposing the cracks in the gameplay earlier with less time to improve on it. It also made it get stale faster because people were probably cramming a month's worth of stamina in less than a week. The addition of afk farming was somewhat of a last minute addition as a result of this. They wanted to have an option for relatively casual players compared to Warframe. Those that feel Warframe's grind is too much, but wouldn't mind if they could still make some progress without paying full attention to the game.I think afk grinding can co-exist with engaging gameplay, Pan just needs to work on making good active-play modes that give better rewards than afk. People that want to afk can continue as they do now, those that want to actively play can choose to do so for more rewards in a shorter time. Chase is a decent start, it's up to them to expand in that direction.

The amount of wedges you need to max them doesn't really bother me. What bothers me is the way of acquisition. In Warframe nobody complains about super rare drops because you can get some of them passively via enemy drops in various missions and you can stack loot boosters. I'm curious, I've never played a gacha game before but I keep hearing people call DNA's event and theater as being "stuck in gacha model", especially this Phoxhunter Summit. So is it just completely normal for a gacha game to put out events like this that heavily favor particular characters? Wouldn't it be way worse in gachas where you have to roll for them? If the desired character is even available on the current banners, you still need to spend a limited resource for it.The way people keep describing these things as part of gachas makes it sound like business as usual in gacha games. That this Psyche shilling would've somehow been acceptable if DNA had stayed as a gacha.

Instead of a 500% multiplier for elements it's often between 150% and 200%. Other characters are also able to easily or nearly as easily complete the same content if built and played well.
