Those bandit hideouts have so many secret chambers, I'm currently at the drawbrigde, and that bandit camp is supremely cleverly designed, I gurantee you the vast majority of players will miss more than a few loots from that place. If they had kept the original test gameplay that was more like Mass Effect 1 or Dragon Age Origins where you had a radial menu that slowed down time when activating skills (again, more like Arknights.....) and you had to actually aim skills yourself and the game was more slowed down and strategic it would have a better niche. Adding a dodge roll and making skills impossible to aim or target and just go off automatically at whatever's near you is dumbing it down and trying to appeal to an already saturated market. The interesting parts of endfield are the parts that are actually original and have nothing to do with being a wannabe Breath of the Wild clone.If this game leaned fully into being just gacha Xenoblade Chronicles I'd love it a lot more instead of these half-measures

The start is on the slow side and all the stuff I wanna use in bulk (relay towers and ziplines, I can make a few but it would be the height of tedium to gather enough to explore the zone) is mostly locked behind factory automation which is locked behind main story progress, which has a bit of Genshitification to its dialogue screens (not the people saying worthless shit part, the part where you can't read a box, then click past it, you gotta wait for them to finish an on-screen animation or other shit to progress it).But overall?
