10 hours in and the game is pretty good.It gets overwhelimg and points but then you realize things are simpler than you thought. The UI is pretty but some things are tucked away in awkward places. The combat is fine. Exploration is good while the game looks OK for a post apocish scifi. The game runs amazing for how good it looks. The only real bad part for now is the gacha, but Im assuming if they arent making enough money they will make it more generous at some point.Too bad I dont have the time to play a gacha like this everyday, but if this launched earlier I might have picked it up. Will just do the bare minimum for a bit to stock up on currencies incase a limited I really like comes around and gets me to play consistently.Solid 8/10. This is such a weird mashup; you have base building and combat but the base building crowd isn't big on the combat getting in the way of the base building, along with the systems being limited compared to standalone games. The combatfags do not like the base building under any circumstances. On top of that, the gacha system which is meant to attract gachafags is massively complex (comparatively) and they're told to go against their nature and save the rolls instead of rolling. Not that they have much to roll even if they wanted...You can tell the person in charge was surrounded by people that couldn't challenge their vision for this product.

I didn't expect much and I'm still disappointed. Most of the characters play the same, with the exception being that bunny slut with the spears. I know that the story in Arknights started off rough, but atleast there were intriguing aspects such as reunion and oripathy, the LBs just feel like your generic mooks who are evil for the sake of being evil and the world feels even emptier than genshins. I want this game to succeed and Ihope I'm wrong and the game picks up later on, but so far I'm not impressed and it's getting harder and harder not to be pessimistic about this games future.
