It's always been really strange to me that preferring the JP side, or only listening to the JP side, earns you hatred. No matter how much I try to understand, I can't quite grasp the mindset. Whenever I ask what they want as an alternative, they never seem to answer me directly. Why is repeating the words of the people who actually created the character, that is, the individuals responsible for bringing the character into existence, seen as an attack? Who else is one supposed to listen to? Ian and Evan? Katie the social media manager? Game Grumps? 14 year olds on Twitter? I don't get it. People here rarely discuss Western works positively outside of SatAM and Archie, and both have been gone for a long time, as they are incompatible with nearly every mainline game. So...is it just anger that their childhood was killed by SoJ? And then anyone who enjoys what SoJ does becomes a target of that bitterness? Since they lost what they cared about, we need to lose what we care about too. That's how it feels to me. Even this very post will probably make people angry, even though it's genuine confusion and not an attack. I just like what SoJ/Sonic Team does, in most cases.
