I think that the worst part of learning this game is how arbitrary a lot of power scaling seems, from translating "boons" to actual stats to understanding investment breakpoints and soul splitting and how and why respawn times are what they are. So much of it seems too complicated for what it should be and I think it's a symptom of Valve having to turn a lot of weird knobs in order to get this weird genre/mechanics mash to try and balance.

Dashing provides a burst of speed which you can directly transfer into slide momentum. Vyper takes advantage of this by having an innate ability (a passive) which reduces her friction with the ground. More movement items directly translates to further, longer, slides. Aiming in DeadlockTM is pretty transferable across all shooters once you get used to the characters all having different bullet velocities. Point at someone, or ahead of someone, and shoot. Easy. With Vyper however, you're combining incredibly fast movement, the necessity of circling your opponent, and spinning your camera to track them at the same time. This is difficult for anyone, even people with a lot of hours of practice and game play have issues with consistency. Itemization is simple once you have the knowledge, however you must also understand that some items increase slide distance -- these are important and directly affect your game play, so playing with and without them require you to adjust and develop muscle memory.The map layout isn't easy to understand at first. Where stairs are, how to take advantage of the downward momentum, the fact Vyper is the only character who can slide UP stairs, where you can cut people off, etc. It takes time to learn and practice.

I legit do not know how to win in this game. No matter what I am doing, how I am playing, what character I am, I am losing. I can't come to any other conclusion that it's just not my fault but my teammates.There is no amount of trying/doing on my part that can help us win because my teammates are so braindead, so dumb, so bad, that you can't win.
