There's a key difference between Endfield's factory and ZZZ's TV - while taking out TV mode crippled ZZZ, I have never once heard a person who actually LIKED TV mode. At best, I've heard people who thought it could be salvaged. There's a lot of people who genuinely do enjoy the factory, by contrast, so the question is merely how to give a smooth out to people who don't (easy access to blueprints, or maybe a persistent gimped stream of resources). Dev time spent on the factory is still improving the experience for the majority of players, so they have no reason to abandon it, unlike ZZZ.

Coming from Genshin and wow... the tech in this game. I can hardly believe it's unity. Pic related's scene had lighting, facial expressions, and camera directing that I don't think Genshin has managed despite their raking in billions every month. And it was just some random NPC that we're probably never going to see again. Genshin has like four facial expressions that every NPC shares and somehow I've just accepted it.And the big fight up the Power Plateau felt to scale, like an actual big war going on. I can't help but compare Genshin's big Natlan war scene where you're running around trying to save people and it doesn't even come close.And the facial expressions when you're telling Yvonne that tata died were great.
