I think this worked better in Henpri since it just throws that sort of thing out there without belaboring the point, making it feel more natural and human. It still works better than in Nukitashi 1, where I think they hadn't quite figured out how to do characterization in this way. You can see the writers improving over the course of each game which is always interesting.
