Crouch tech, stupidly good divekicks like yun's, light confirms into full combos, 100% safe vortex setups, tons of hard knockdowns, stupid hitboxes bound to animations, FA, DP FADC backdash, invincible backdash, characters with gameplay far removed from the actual game system, etc. Do people really think USF4 had "depth"?USF4 is hard to learn and get into, that's true, but SF5 is more difficult as a game itself, especially on high level. What I try to say is, for example, it's not difficult to learn how to move figures in chess and it's not difficult to "perform" a "move", but the game is still extremely difficult when it comes to player interaction, intelligence and mind games. SF5 is many steps closer to this than USF4. SF4 was a turtlefest because of FADC and it letting you get away with any mistake, also the option select with proximity normals which let you cover all sorts of scenarios in a single guess. SF5 is way more punishing to play so you have to be at the best of your game all the time. There's no wake-up invincible DP FADC into hit confirm 60% Ultra or safe backdash in SF5 for example, or option select jump-in/dash with throw tech sweep to cover backdash attempts, meaty AND throw.
