Does anyone here think that the perfect/peaceful solutions to faction quests in games like fallout 2 and wasteland 2 are a bad thing?On one hand, they satisfy the fantasy of being a master diplomat and extra steps to achieve them are interesting to do.But (this could be my autism speaking), unless i am trying out an evil playthrough, i feel obligated to do them because its the option that has no real downsides.I think the solution is to have multiple diplomatic options that punishes/favors the other side more, and maybe a third "shaky truce" option if you fuck up and botch certain parts of the questline.

Huge dungeons like Drezen or Blackwater can be done without ever resting if you're stacked with enduring buffs. Buffs are so powerful you would be very justified in doing something like taking enduring+greater enduring on a pure martial MC solely for some of the buffs you'll get through the mythic spellbooks.

Did I totally fuck myself with my starship and scrap? I saw I had the ability to upgrade my ship, but then I got into a fight and really couldn't fix it because I was out of scrap, which I think was the resource to upgrade my ship and didn't realize it was also for healing. Is there another way to heal or get scrap other than skirmishes?Lastly, are the romance events missable? I think I started one with Cassia, but after that first event in the library nothing has really happened.

Sometimes there are long periods of time where no new events happen, but as long as you still have that "I think we need to break up" dialogue option with the character, then your romance should be fine

I can't recall exactly how it works, but spending one round / turn without shooting a charged shot / AoE shot should prevent his gun from exploding. I've played a stalker ranger through what I guess is around halfway through BG1 and am finding myself to not really enjoy the character very much. Trying to go for backstabs is the one involved aspect of the character but feels fairly jank. A worse casting since they stop at lvl6 spells, lower thaco than F/M, but a bunch of extra utility with song, pickpocketing, HLA traps (Spike Trap! Time Stop Trap!). I highly recommend Blade. Spins are powerful and fun to use.
