At that point the only way to justify the pairing is to make sure that she never, ever encounters the competition. It's lazy writing to make a character approve of a ship that we already know they aren't mature enough to respond properly to. Out of all the characters Amy is the worst example too. Even modern girlboss Amy feels the need to put herself between Rouge and Sonic. Writing Amy as approving of Sonally is too transparent. There is no in-character way to write Amy actually being nice about Sonally.
