Guys, playing support in the lower ranks is way harder than in the higher. I'm an Eternity support only player and I've been going through the ranks on an alt with my wife, and holy fuck healing these absolute retards is a nightmare. It it legitimately easier to heal in celestial/eternity, because players there have at least some self-sufficiency. In plat though? Every single tank/dps just runs down main taking all the damage, playing map cover or different angles simply does not exist to them. They go 1v6 while being pocketed by my heals, die because I simply cannot outheal that, then spam 'need healing' or gg no heals. 'Oh both my healers are dead, now is a good time to push'.... Absolutely INSANE how retarded players are in these lower ranks.

I thought the quality of lobbies were supposed to improve in Celestial but they pretty much dont, even in Celestial III-II there are adam players, jeff players and they're not even remotely decent, you get support OTPs bitching about their team and when you ask them to swap with you to put their money where their mouth is they dont because they're not good, OTP divers, MK/Groot every other match so you kind of have to ban him or have a team that's competent enough to understand when they're going to do it (I've had like 2 at most playing in this rank)I actually see the same 5-6 dps chars getting instalocked across both teams (lol)and I swear I've pretty much played against punisher every game because of elsa being next to gambit on the perma ban list so there's no way to leverage a ban in your favor when you have to keep broken shit from being available in the match.I honestly do think this is the worst season in the game by far.

It’s only been rather abnormally fast for most of January because the whole Kingsman drama nonsense occurred and gave us an extra boost for like 2 weeks but otherwise we would have been like this then too. The downtime right now came early because Elsa is very divisive and people are already bored of her and DP on top of the hype being neutered due to an early reveal and announcement. I think the balance in this game is beyond repair, the time to fix it was during Season 2.5 - 3.5 during the descent into poke + heal spam meta which was also conveniently around the time Competitive started dying (God I miss 1.0, genuinely good times to play Comp)They would have to do massive nerfs to at least 10 major characters in the game, and they're not even capable of doing the most minimal nerfs on more than 6 characters every month.

Someone like daredevil dominated for so long because he can not only kill most of his dive targets but he can also get away very easily after he finishes or choose to go for another target with less risk than say Venom who as a tank, has less options to keep himself alive while also not having any damage to make his risky dive worth fighting for besides a quick distraction. tldr: Lots of dps have more skills to keep themselves alive than in the class made for keeping your team alive. It would make sense to give the tanks more abilities to help them tank instead of just nerfing/buffing their ult and calling it a fix
