How do you efficiently used a portable crafter? According to the guide it's supposed to be possible to get 10k hides in ten minutes but I only managed about 1700 in five. It doesn't seem possible to increase my rate by 3x unless I can place the crafter immediately beside the bank but it doesn't allow you to deploy them within several spaces.

After looking at the rs3 roadmap, I'm thinking about giving it a try after the 2nd deep sweep scheduled for autumn if the 4th raid in osrs ends up being shit, which is getting more likely given the osrs jmods continual insistence on sucking off every streamer imaginable. Haven't played the main game since early 2008 (and a month in 2012 to help my friend get a clan citadel). My question - how feasible would it be to make a new character (not ironman) and progress through the content by release date? E.g train and make gear to kill kbd, get d-med + few other unique drops, move to KQ, get d-chain, etc?

I began leveling up my necromancy a while ago. I was sort of surprised how easy it was. All the long hard hours I put into leveling up the other combat skills seems like a waste now. You know what just occurred to me?
None of these moves are actually to appease the players. None of it was actually voted on or even really discussed. The closest they got was rolling back pick pocketing when it was especially dumb. None of the changes really benefit the player either, beyond letting people pretend that they're playing "the right way" now that there's no alternative.
But it does make the player numbers seem higher than it would otherwise be by pretending to be big changes that people "voted on" and should check out (were so back!!), and would more or less force people that do actually decide to level to spend time leveling instead of relying on lamps from mtx to level instead and thus make player engagement higher. All of which would look good to prospective buyers looking for an "established" and "popular" mmo/ip to buy.

What? You must be getting throttled somewhere. RS3 runs just fine on ultra for me. DD2 frequently dips down to 30-40 FPS in certain areas even without maxed settings because the engine is dogshit and Capcom needs to start using something else already because it clearly can't handle large-scale games.

Only a silver fork jammed up your butt delivers adequate protection against the monstrous Jagex whopper.
The trick is to insert the fork the right way. Noobs often get this wrong. The handle must be inserted first so the sharp pointy tines of the fork are facing outwards. That means any attempt by Big Daddy Jagex to enter your most private orifice is met with a row of needle-like prongs. Some players refer to this as the "Phalanx Defense", named for the ancient Greek military tactic of arranging soldiers in a solid mass with their long spears facing the enemy.
This phrase became famous during the so called "Battle of the Chaos Altar" when a group of heroic runescape players ventured out into the Wilderness to do mighty deeds but were ambushed by Big Daddy Jagex. Fearing for their anal virginity the players quickly closed ranks and jammed make-shift forks up their asses.
Bits of broken planks, tree branches, some even used the fractured bones of long dead players.
"Form a Phalanx" was the battle cry!
The defense held.

The players involved were all later permanently banned by Jagex on some entirely fabricated charges of real world trading.
Nevertheless their sacrifice was not in vain.
A cult grew around the glorious "Battle of the Chaos Altar" with devotees forging silver forks to honor the deeds of their fallen heroes.
Thus "The Shining Fork Path" was born.
Word quickly spread. Desperate players in sore relief from the constant Jagex ass ravagings took up silver forks and jammed them up their asses.
Some shoved them up the wrong way, but enough succeeded with the correct insertion to guarantee the survival of the "Shining Fork Path"
