This flashback is so, so bad. It's exposition dump after exposition dump filling in backstory and worldbuilding and the VN is almost over. Here's an idea, maybe you should do literally anything with your main heroine BEFORE the true route is almost over so you don't have to dump her entire backstory and motivation in a series of exposition dumps as the VN is basically ending? It feels like a rough draft, like they were writing the VN and had all these ideas they crammed in right at the finish line and didn't go back to space them out more evenly and fill the rest of the game with them.

I just finished Chaos;Head. Here are my thoughts:I think I went in with the wrong expectations. I thought it would be more grounded, but instead it was essentially magic with a very shallow attempt at giving it a scientific explanation. Ironically, I think I would've preferred it if they just went ahead and made it actual magic. That way I could've just completely suspended my disbelief. It also did not help with any of the smaller mysteries like the timestamps on the chatlog between Neidhardt and Shogun. It's just not satisfying when you spend the entire time reading thinking about how it could be explained, only for them to go "lol it's magic".But even though I was disappointed that it wasn't the kind of story I was looking for, I ended up having an alright time for the most part. I loved the unnerving and creepy atmosphere it had at times, especially the gangstalking during Kozue's route. I also really enjoyed the big twist of who the killer was even though I was partially spoiled on that, although I thought the way how some of the murders happened was very unbelievable and I don't mean the use of delusions.I thought the MC was pretty funny at times, but I got tired of his extreme patheticness pretty fast. Also, the drastic change of character he went through at the end of chapter 9 only to be stuck with his old self again for the character routes gave me whiplash. And for being smart, he often acted really stupid.I think my biggest complaint are the mysteries. Some got never explained, a lot were basically magic, and some things that they made a pretty big deal out of never came up again.
