I’m getting molested on solo d10 bug missions. I’ve been managing to do most of the objectives except a few bug nests but I pretty much never extract. I know it’s 90% skill issue but does my build make sense? Crossbow, revolver, high impact grenade, orbital Gatling, strafing run, stalwart, and jetpack. I normally bring the laser or 500 but I figure the jetpack might help deal with the 9 hole bug nests even if it means I don’t have any real anti-tank.

When you fire it for a while and it climbs up in heat it gets to heavy pen and just carves shit up, meanwhile the fire damage reduction from your armour and the slight damage reduction from booster means you're wholly on fire but only getting tickled. Try it out some time when you have all the gear for it.Trident is good, talon is arguably one of the best sidearms in the game. Quasar is the best energy based support weapon, cannon just sucks as it stops you in your tracks to fire (not good when being run down by chaff, who will also bodyblock the laser even when they're dead allowing another chaff to run up behind the ragdolling body and get in your face) and takes way too long to kill anything more heavily armoured (even though it can kill them... eventually). It's definitely lower tier as far as laser weaps go, not quite as bad as laser sentry but still.
Reminder that AH made the current mission difficulty hidden by default instead of always showing on the HUD to prevent people from calling out shitters in gameplay clips.
