Nothing was addressed in terms of weapon balancing until Sunbreak's patch. And it still is trash, though thankfully the way Sunbreak's endgame works is that you get free rainbow bing birds in any of the endgame arenas that you spend a vast majority of your time playing in once you hit endgame. Sunbreak didn't fix the issue, but rather allowed players to sidestep it.

I hope they bring back snake monsters in the expansion. The coiling gimmick will be better with the dynamic camera zooming out when the attack starts. Size problems in general are helped with the better camera. Octopus, bugs, and snakes all coming back for Wilds would be great.

Can you even still trade with other players? I haven't needed to since MHF2. Definitely no real reason for it to exist because people are never gated by money or inventory space now, so everyone can carry everything they need or just go to camp to grab it. I always thought it was neat when I could help out other players by being the guy who bothered to bring a BBQ spit and raw meat and cooked up steaks for everyone.

Every now and then, whenever I get the slightest urge to reinstall this game, all I have to do to quell myself of these cravings is to remind myself just how shitty the large maps are for navigation and how much time I waste chasing after monsters, and that my only alternative playing these trash maps is to go back to playing in enclosed arenas AGAIN so that I don't have to suffer through dogshit maps like The Citadel or vanilla Rise's shittier maps. I also just end up reminding myself that the game's lack of an online multiplayer quest board means that I have no idea what quests other players are currently doing that are open for multiplayer, so I typically have to choose between:1. Putting myself at the mercy of just a general search and hoping I get a quest that I like.2. Try my damn best to find a specific anomaly monster that I want to fight and hope that I don't waste too much time just waiting to get matched with someone who has a monster I want to fight (and hope that if I do open up searches for >LV200 anomalies, that I don't end up getting ANOTHER Risen Shagaru or Risen Valstrax). >B-BUT ANON, WHY DON'T YOU JUST HOST YOUR OWN QUESTS AND OPEN THEM FOR MULTIPLAYER? It'd be nice if I could actually get randos to join me, but again, I typically get no one to join me because the game lacks a multiplayer quest board that can tell other randos that I'm doing something like a LV300 Lunagaron quest (and because the already low number of people playing Poopbreak on Steam at the AR level where they can actually do high level anomalies gets smaller and smaller with each passing month). Hello Hunters this is my final update and post on this topic. Thank you to all who shared and commented on my last post.I am a GS main. For 3 days I attempted solo AT Arkveld. Prob about 15 hrs worth of attempts. I did get better, but to no avail. I finally called it quits after a 35 min run where i aggresively offset and brought the offense to him and it still wasn't enough.So for laughs and giggles before calling it quits, i threw together a dragon lance wirh little thought and went into the training room for 30 secs before heading off for the hunt.I am in tears from laughing, no prior expierence using the lance and i killed him my first attempt with no deaths. My 600 hrs or more with the greatsword from world,rise, to wilds was outclassed by my meesly 42 mins of expierence with lance. This quest seems heavily unbalanced for certain weps and i think they should either raise the raw damage you do, or lower AT Alk health. This is a joke. If you can kill AT Ark with GS, i salute you Pics of both builds I used and hunter card showing I've only used lance once Thank yall for your time.TLDR: As a GS main who couldnt beat AT Arkveld for 3 days, i succeeded on my first attempt with onky 42 mins of expierence with a lance.
