There were other plot contrivances and unanswered questions that kinda bothered me, but him being a playboy made perfect sense

Subahibi as a full vn I've always felt missed the mark as a story. It has excellent moments and some really great themes and characters but I have always felt the game is best played having spoiled yourself on the full synopsis or even a YouTube video essay and then skipping to key scenes by fast forwarding through the VN. When you actually play the game you've got to sit through the entirety of Looking Glass Insects whereas if you've been spoiled you can sit and read the kino stuff and skip through the bonus fluff. Same with Jabberwocky. Way better when you skip the shite. Which Dreamed It is another arc way better when you actually know what's going on. It's a visual novel that's way better when you're playing with full context. Playing the game without knowing the twist just means you're gonna probably drop the game for a month listening to Yuki yapping or god forbid just not making it to kino sequences like Kimika's drug trip on the roof or the Galactic Railroad.
