There's a bunch of other improvements that make the game more fun than vanilla Halo 4. But it doesn't get too silly (Like Mythic Campaign Overhaul). Destiny was shit at launch in this timeline because most of the influential halo devs had jumped ship during its haphazard development. Also another ability remove your ability to hop fire, throw grenades, melee, and high jump, so their addition doesn’t take away from the halo formula, it simply adds. >>559742418>can't shoot but move forward fasterno that's how you do sprint. you need a reasonable trade off for the slight speed boost it gives you. that trade off is that your weapon isn't always ready. you're taking a big risk for added mobility, which adds a new element to fights since now you've got more options in how you respond to an enemy engagement. you no longer just have to stand there and hope your enemy misses their shots if they get the jump on you. you have the option to reposition and reengage from a more favourable angle. it makes the game more complex, more challenging, and more engaging. claiming that 'well they can just have it affect your accuracy instead of putting your weapon all the way down' is complete retardation. you're literally acknowledging that you understand why the weapon has to go down in the first place. you're just asking for a slightly more forgiving version of it i.e. you want people to be spamming sprint more often with less risk. also people seem to conveniently always forget that slide allows you to instantly ready your weapon while you're sprinting. so you have a solution to those situations where you sprint into someone who has their weapon already up. responding to that scenario is a matter of skill. it's in your control. also i don't know why you're bringing up reach as if it has any bearing on the sprint argument, since sprint in that game was an ability, not a core mechanic that everyone had access to. that's what made sprint complete shit in that game. the only two games to do sprint right in halo are 5 and infinite. this is what's frustrating about talking about sprint in these games. people keep focusing on the worst implementations of it. if it was so unbelievable game breaking people would not have praised 5 and infinite's gameplay at launch, which is what happened. don't try and rewrite history and tell me otherwise.
