There are no recharging shields by default. Even if the ttk was increasing, the damage you did to a player shield or hp would mean they still need to heal up and recharge and thats going to cost them. So its nit like other previous shit games where you scratch a shield and it just recharges, and the dmg was a waste.It would make the battles a more interesting cat and mouse if the shells were more durable. With bolder plays and more back and forth shootingpeople that play bad would still get wiped in seconds but people who dont wont

I enjoy that catching someone by complete surprise generally means you win, while just scoring a shot or two still gives quick people who aren't standing in stupid places I'm positioning the chance to dive for cover and just start the fight at a huge disadvantage. The sound design is good enough that it generally feels fair to get taken off guard - with the exception of damn near instant Longshot double taps.

After learning about Ranked I do worry about interaction between the 1% of the player base verses the 99%.If the people who go through ranked get to use their Ranked-tier gear and are allowed to bring it back to the normal maps it will be a slaughter house and would kill any remaining casual and normals who are ok with the ttk and only lasting a minute or two in a match.

>>559227301The problem I have with ranked is if there isn’t a lot of ways to hit target score to gain points on an exfil, you’re going to have constant stale mate in situations where you can’t find high value loot and you’re basically needing to get enemy players dog tags that seem to have the scale tipped for higher value. Imagine if your only chance to hit score is scouring the map looking for somebody’s corpse AND getting a high value item, that could be a fucking pain in the ass where it’s more RNG than any sort of skill
