I'm not even a "1:1 purist", I wanted the game to be Evangelion Rebuild levels of different, but the type of changes made to Remake/Rebirth are just really annoying things that end up being completely inconsequential, to the point that if Remake/Rebirth didn't make any changes at all and *had* been a 1:1 Remake, it wouldn't even be any different than it is right now, so the changes in Remake are just a bunch of annoying things that have no purpose whatsoever and no payoff either, they are literally just changes that never matter at all for any reason other than to be slightly different from the original game, while still actually being the same. It might as well just have been a 1:1 Remake, because then there'd be a lot less complaining and maybe more people would have bought Rebirth. Whether you look at it from an in-universe or a meta perspective, the story of 7R doesn't work without at least some general knowledge of the story of 7. The whole story is about how they took the events of 7 and fucked with them until shit went sideways because of muh timelines.Though if you suspect you might become one of those people who cannot accept that 7R is not a proper remake of 7, you should definitely just skip 7 entirely so you have nothing to get pointlessly butthurt about.

It's pretty common to travel to another DC for cheaper prices. Second, why would that even matter? You can buy off of any market board, but if for some reason I could only buy off my home world market board, I would still not ever farm crafting material crystals manually. I'd just wait until I returned to my home world to purchase them... but you can buy from any market board so it's a moot point anyway.

Since XIV mobile is a new version of ARR built from the ground up, made entirely by Tencent, I'm inclined to believe that's sort of what happened, but the gap in the logic here is that XI mobile was developed by Nexon, not Tencent. So maybe SE got to keep all of Nexon's work? And then gave it to Tencent to start? I don't know, but I also believe they might be related somehow.
