It’d help him stay in the fight longer, not overstep the design space of tanks like cap/angela and venom, by being a more team focused dive/brawl hero. Maybe give his clap a deflection ability, as a separate way to deal with hard CC. And make his leap start up straight up knockback immune, if they’re unwilling to remove the bizarre amount of knockbacks there are
